Unit 225 Special Meeting Minutes

The meeting was called to order at 11:30 AM by President Linda Harrison, who explained that the reason for this special meeting of the membership was to approve amendments to the unit’s bylaws.  These amendments have already been unanimously approved by the Board of Directors.  President Harrison explained the three main changes being proposed:  moving the disciplinary function to District 16; reducing the number of directors from 12 to 9; and changing the term of directors from 2 years to 3 years.

After an opportunity for discussion by the membership, Susan Ford moved that the amendments be approved, seconded by Barbara Bradford.  The amendments were approved by voice vote.

 President Harrison recognized the members of the Board of Directors, the club directors, and the Partnership Chair.  She then presented Life Master awards and announced that Nelda Avent has been given the Texas Star Award, and that Sandy Hilliard and Gloria Rowland will receive the Goodwill Award.

The agenda being completed, President Harrison adjourned the meeting.
