What's Happening in Unit 225
July Unit Championship Game
Make plans now for the Unit Championship game to be held on Sat., 7/9. The game will begin at 12:30 at the Tyler Senior Center.
In June, we had a record low number of tables with only 4. To keep this game going, we need to increase the number of tables dramatically!
The Board realizes that the cost of gasoline may be an impediment for some to attend the games. Please consider carpooling whenever possible. Club managers will do what they can to make this happen!
For the June game, the top winners were Ethan Collins & Beryl Cobb with a 60.71% game.
Avent Named Partnership Chair for Unit Games
President Rathnam has announced that Nelda Avent will be replacing Sally McAnulty as Partnership Chair for Unit Championship Games. Sally has done a remarkable job for many years but has decided it is time to step aside. The next time you see Sally thank her for all her service to Unit 225.
Nelda takes over with a great deal of experience as she has served has Partnership Chair for both sectional and regional tournaments in our area. Call her at 903-530-8522 (cell) whenever you need a partner for a unit game.

Bridge Quote
A married couple are not speaking to each other after a horrible game and are driving home from a distant bridge tournament. They pass by a field where there are many donkeys. The husband breaks the silence by asking his wife, "Relations of yours?" "Yes," she says. "In-laws."
